Gerry Fulgentes first stepped onto the Judo mat at the age of 4. As he grew up, he developed his judo skills, providing him with a solid foundation for his venture into wrestling. At 9 years old, Gerry added wrestling to his sports activities, where his natural talent quickly became apparent, earning him recognition in tournaments.

His strength in sports extended beyond the mats; Gerry also found success on the football field during his younger years. Starting football at age 11 and he dedicated three years of his high school career to the sport at Royal High School.

However, it was on the wrestling mat where Gerry truly excelled. He was a 3-time CIF placer, reaching the finals in one of those years. His achievements didn't stop there and he continued his success as he qualified for Masters three times.

Post-high school, Gerry continued his athletic pursuits, transitioning to collegiate wrestling at Moorpark College for a year. Yet, driven by a thirst for new challenges, he made a bold decision to switch gears and explore a different sporting arena.

Embracing adventure, Gerry dived into the world of rugby for a two-year stint, motivated in part by the opportunity to play alongside his older brother, Tom Fulgentes. This choice not only highlighted Gerry's adaptability but also underscored his commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing new experiences.

Gerry aims to inspire others to explore new paths and confront challenges head-on. For him, it's not merely about winning accolades in sports; it's about experiencing the journey and exemplifying goodness both on and off the mat. He understands that the lessons of respect and hard work learned from sports are invaluable in real life.
